A small shop that just really likes dogs.

No chain, no upsells, no white-tiled "pet spa." Just a couple of experienced groomers in Bonnie Doon who'd rather do fewer dogs well than rush a full book.

Open since 2014, a few blocks from Mill Creek.

Marian opened Bonnie Doon Grooming after eighteen years grooming around Edmonton — and a lot of years walking her own dogs through the ravine. She wanted a small, quiet shop in the neighbourhood she actually lived in, where dogs weren't stacked in cages waiting their turn.

That's still how it runs. One dog on the table at a time, a calm room, and groomers who'll happily spend the extra ten minutes it takes to keep a nervous dog comfortable. Most of our customers walk here.

Between us we've groomed just about every breed and temperament Edmonton can throw at us.

Going slow isn't a special request here. It's just how we groom.

Anxious, reactive, never-been-groomed or simply getting on in years — tell us, and we'll plan around it.

  • We never force a dog. If your dog says no, we listen and find another way.
  • Two-visit grooms welcome. We can split a groom across two shorter, lower-stress appointments.
  • A quiet room. No barking gauntlet — one dog on the table, soft sounds, plenty of breaks.
  • Honest about limits. If something isn't safe or kind to finish, we'll stop and talk to you.

“My rescue used to shake the whole way to the groomer. Now he trots in. They took it slow for months and never once made me feel like he was a problem.”
